The Fluorspar Mine Map project produced a map of the Illinois portion of the Illinois-Kentucky Fluorspar District (IKFD) at a 1:50,000 scale. An ISGS Circular was published detailing approximately 180 fluorspar mines and prospects within the Illinois portion of the IKFD, and is included in the seventy-page report that accompanies the map. The report includes mine history, mining methods, production figures, mineralogy of deposits, ore grades, regional tectonics, regional stratigraphy, and ore models. An accompanying ArcGIS mine location dataset was created by Emily Bunse and is available for download in the Data tab above.
